Along with numerous local measures and candidates to decide, California voters must also wade through 13 state propositions on the November ballot. The initiatives range from four bond measures for flood protection, transportation, education and housing to excess oil tax and tobacco tax proposals.

TONOPAH - The Nye County Commissioners, as expected, Tuesday voted 3-2 in favor of putting a question on the November ballot that asks for an increase in the sales tax from 6.75 percent to 7.25 percent.
