Dr. Jeffrey Paul Turk was born to proud parents, Paul and Nancy (Sutton) Turk on February 5, 1966 (a birthday he shared with his Grandpa A. Lynn Sutton and Great Grandma Martha Turk), in Mason City, IA. He became a Child of God in Holy Baptism, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City. He died of coronary artery disease and went to live with his Heavenly Father, on July 1, 2006.

NBC named former National Hockey League player and coach Eddie Olczyk as lead game analyst for its broadcasts of NHL games. Mr. Olczyk, who had been an NBC studio analyst since February, replaces John Davidson, who is leaving broadcasting to become president of the St. Louis Blues.
